Summary
At the age of sixty, Lucien Civette, major figure of the Teko people, sets out to travel up the Camopi River in Guiana. Accompanied by young Tekos, he traces back the path of old villages now-vanished to the time to rekindle an essential mythical and historical memory.
This journey is as much of a transmission gesture as an invitation, to the audience, to radically rethink their gaze on the Amazon rainforest: an inhabited territory, shaped over centuries, far away from the persistent myht of the “virgin forest”.
